On May 10th and 14th, CNBM International held Jan.-Apr. work report meetings, for Northern and Southern parts separately. Huang Anzhong, the vice president of China Building Materials Group (CNBM), president of CNBM International, attended the conference and delivered a speech called “Improve Survival Ability under Complex Environment”.
President Huang began with the summary of company’s work performance from January to April, and then he analyzed the domestic and international economic situation. He stressed that under the complex environment of domestic and foreign business, the company is facing several challenges, such as increased competition, declined profitability, financing difficulties, increased financing cost. With the aim of “low risk, steady profit” and “growth with quality improvement”, he believes that the company should cope by sticking to the principles, along with reforming and innovating. It requires the company to alter its ideological conceptions and thinking patterns, re-understand the economic environment, continue to achieve business innovation, change business model and implement fine management. The company is to keep extending overseas market, infuse “20 Miles March” principle into company culture, realize the healthy development of enterprises, according to the requirement of the Chairman Song, is to advocate the performance culture and cut down the efficiency debt. Specifically, Chairman Song put forward three strategies.
Firstly, the company will alter business development ideas. It is to continue implementing professional management thought and make clear duties of each department; is to extend overseas market, increase the proportion of overseas business in company business; is to run the business with “low risk, steady profit” concept; and is to establish the model of company development.
Secondly, the company will strengthen its own management under the new business environment. It is to continuously improve work efficiency, redesign the procedures, to perfect the present system; is to lower costs, enhance the resource utilization, and accelerate the velocity of cargo; is to better control risks, do the research of market trend carefully, improve risk prevention system and better hedge against risk.
Thirdly, the company will build an internationally competitive team. It is to train the adaptive ability of talents, educate overseas talents, perfect responsibility decompounding mode, improve the performance assessing system, reform the present incentive system and bring the staffs initiative into full play.
Vice President Wu Suhua meticulously analyzed the statistics and indicators from the January to April work report. Jian Wu, the Executive Deputy General Manager of CNBM International Company was the host of the conference. About one hundred people attended the meeting, including company leaders, department leaders and talents.
